Bode Modern Living Company is focused on a simple challenge: how do we create better small-footprint buildings and a more repeatable way to deliver them? Our Bode Collective brings together intelligent design, high-performance envelope technology, scalable material packages and curated finish systems in one configurable platform.

All that started with a simple idea scribbled on a napkin in 2023.

Housing affordability was reaching a breaking point. Communities across North America were facing growing challenges—from wildfires sweeping through the West, to hurricanes and tornadoes testing the resilience of buildings and infrastructure. We found ourselves asking a simple question:

Could there be a better way to build?

From our point of view the answer to that is most definitely yes!
More square footage is not the only path to better living. Thoughtful planning, efficient envelopes, durable materials and coordinated design can create buildings that feel larger than their footprint and communities that use land more intelligently.

Our team set out with a commitment to do more than improve what was already available. We wanted to redefine expectations. Incremental change wasn't enough—we wanted to make an impact.

Bode is the kit and material-system partner. We work with dealers, developers, builders, designers, engineers and purchasers to define the Bode scope. The local project team turns that package into the completed building.
