Dipl. Arch. Tech.With over three decades of experience, Duane’s career is defined by architectural excellence and a commitment to creating meaningful environments where people live, work, and connect—balancing innovation, purpose, and design leadership.
He has led multidisciplinary teams across a wide range of project types, delivering residential, commercial, mixed-use, industrial, retail, office, and multi-family projects throughout North America with a cumulative construction value exceeding $750 million.
As a Principal and Partner at MAKOR Architecture, Duane is actively involved in all phases of project development, guiding projects from concept through realization. A strong advocate for emerging technologies, he is also a frequent speaker and educator, having presented at SketchUp Basecamp in Palm Springs, Vancouver, and Las Vegas.

Dipl. Arch. Tech.A graduate of the Architectural Technology Program at Fanshawe College (1995), Wayne brings decades of experience and technical expertise to our team. He has contributed to hundreds of projects throughout his career and is a key asset in leading construction documentation development, delivering precise, high-quality drawing packages. Wayne also serves as a part-time professor in the Architectural Technology Program at Fanshawe College, where he shares his industry knowledge and supports the next generation of design professionals.
Alex Dampsey

DIDWith over 10 years of design experience, Alex’s passion lies in creating thoughtfully considered residential and boutique commercial spaces across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Her design journey has been shaped by experience with award-winning firms and her time as Lead Designer on HGTV’s Love It or List It Vancouver, with projects spanning a diverse range of communities and architectural styles.
Alex’s approach is rooted in design-forward functionality—creating spaces that are sophisticated, inviting, and effortlessly comfortable, while reflecting the unique lifestyle of each client. She believes great design should not only meet the needs of today, but thoughtfully anticipate tomorrow. By designing with the future in mind, Alex creates timeless, adaptable spaces that can evolve alongside the people who live in them.
David Zachary

PEDavid K. Zachary, PE, is the founder and principal engineer of Zachary Engineering, specializing in civil and structural engineering for high-end residential projects. Based in the Tahoe-Truckee region, David is licensed in California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Arizona, Hawaii, Iowa, Montana, Idaho, and British Columbia, bringing broad experience to complex custom residential projects throughout the West.
David is also the key structural engineer behind our Bode Kits.
Larry E. Belk

FAIBDA Certified Professional Designer with the American Institute of Building Design, Larry Belk has been active in the home building and design industry for over 45 years. In 1995, he was inducted into the College of Fellows of the AIBD the highest obtainable award of the Institute. Larry’s plans appear in many national publications and are built in 50 states and 15 foreign countries. He is the recipient of several national design awards and a member of the National Home Builders Association. He is also a licensed Building Contractor and Interior Designer.

After successfully building and running her own e-commerce business, she went on to provide graphic design, branding, and digital marketing services for a variety of companies. Her combination of creativity, business experience, and customer-focused strategy gives her a unique perspective on connecting people with innovative, beautifully designed homes that fit the way they want to live.
Sonny Miller

B.Arch. Sonny Miller is an experienced architecture and construction professional based in Roanoke, Virginia, with a career spanning both the design and construction management sides of the industry. From the intricate process of transcribing an idea onto paper, to the complex achievement of crafting that idea into a built environment, he has spanned the last two decades building knowledge from both sides of the drafting table. This dual perspective enables him to add value by bridging design, construction, and client needs across residential, commercial, and healthcare projects.
As the authorized BODE dealer for the state of Virginia and Georgia, Sonny is dedicated to the value of careful planning, clear communication, and faithful follow-through that will allow clients to fully enjoy the sustainable, high-performance home that a BODE kit offers.

Josh Friesen
Construction Development Coordinator
Having grown up in the construction industry, Josh developed an early understanding of the craftsmanship, coordination, and attention to detail required to build a quality home. Now celebrating 20 years in residential construction, he brings a well-rounded perspective to his role as Construction Development Coordinator at Bode.
Josh’s experience spans nearly every stage of residential construction, having worked as a framer, site assistant, site superintendent, project manager, custom cabinet installer, finish carpenter, and most recently, President of Virtues of Construction. This breadth of hands-on and leadership experience allows him to anticipate the needs of builders in the field and identify potential challenges before they reach site.
At Bode, Josh applies that practical knowledge to ensure construction packages are thoughtful, complete, and buildable—helping set site teams up for success well before construction begins.
