Every Bode project begins with the building envelope and the conditions that determine how it needs to perform. Climate, site exposure, building requirements, fire risk, wind and seismic considerations help define the appropriate construction strategy. Rather than treating these elements as loosely defined upgrades, Bode organizes performance into three clear pathways—Core, Shield and Fortify.

Bode Core establishes a high-performance SIP and OSB envelope focused on efficiency, comfort and durability. Bode Shield builds on that foundation with enhanced fire-resistant assemblies, while Bode Fortify extends performance further for projects requiring additional high-wind and seismic resilience. It is a deliberate progression of building performance rather than a conventional good-better-best upgrade structure.

Establishing the performance pathway early creates a clear foundation for the decisions that follow, from completion package and exterior materials to interior selections. Performance is built into the project from the outset, bringing greater clarity to specification, budgeting, procurement and construction.

The foundational Bode performance platform: a high-performance building envelope designed around energy efficiency, comfort and durability. Core is an intentional choice for projects that want the Bode envelope advantage without site conditions or project criteria that call for the added Shield or Fortify pathways.

The Bode Core system is based on OSB clad Structural Insulated Panels (SIP) and includes the following:

SIP Panel Wall, Floor, Roof Structure

Shield builds on Bode’s high-performance envelope with an enhanced fire-resistance pathway. Where applicable and properly specified, assemblies can be designed for 1–2 hour fire-resistance ratings. Ratings are assembly- and project-specific.

The Bode Shield system is based on OSB clad Structural Insulated Panels (SIP) and includes the following:

SIP Panel Wall, Floor, Roof Structure
1-2 hour fire rated sheathing on the exterior of the panel.

Fortify combines the enhanced Shield envelope approach with project-specific structural engineering designed to address more demanding high-wind, hurricane and seismic conditions. Structural criteria are established for the actual project location, taking into consideration applicable codes, environmental loads and site-specific requirements. This allows the building system and its connections to be engineered around the conditions it is expected to encounter, providing a more resilient construction pathway for projects in regions where additional structural performance is required.

The Bode Shield system is based on OSB clad Structural Insulated Panels (SIP) and includes the following:

SIP Panel Wall, Floor, Roof Structure
1-2 hour fire rated sheathing on the exterior of the panel.
Applicable added structural engineering and added components such as Simpson Strong Walls etc.
